Downtown Akron Sakura Festival 2025
Join us for the 2025 Downtown Akron Sakura Festival along the Towpath in downtown Akron, including Locks 1, 2 and 3, the Towpath Trailhead at Spaghetti Warehouse, the James R. Williams Tower in Ohio & Erie Canal Park, and The Mustill Store. The festival is free and open to all. The Columbus Koto Ensemble will play at 1:45pm and 3pm on the main stage.

JASCO Cherry Blossom Day 2025
Join us for a vibrant celebration of Japanese culture at JASCO Cherry Blossom Day on Sunday, April 6th, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Franklin Park Conservatory! The Columbus Koto Ensemble will perform from 11-11:30am EST!

2025 JSO (Japanese Student Organization) Spring Festival
Ohio State University’s spring festival for their JSO (Japanese Student Organization) program is happening this year on Sunday March 30th! This is always a super fun family-friendly event at the Ohio Union with music, booths and games. Best of all, it’s FREE! Columbus Koto performance will be at 2pm

Hilliard Library Q&A Performance
Join us for a FREE 1-hour koto performance at the Columbus Metropolitan Library Hilliard Branch Sunday February 16th, 2025 from 3-4pm!

Learn to Play Koto Workshop!
Come learn the koto, the national instrument of Japan! The mission of our ensemble is education, and during this 1-hour lesson you will learn a how to play an easy song using beginner techniques. Workshop tickets are $20 and limited to 6 people, but it is FREE if you want to come watch and learn more about this unique instrument!

Momiji Matsuri
Join us for a fun autumn mini-festival at Boxland in Worthington, OH! The Columbus Koto Ensemble will give a special 1-hour concert premiering a BRAND NEW piece of music composed for the ensemble by ASUKA of Japan along with several other notable pieces! Also joining the event is Awa Odori Ohio with a special dance performance, Jennifer Hambrick, host of WOSU's Classical 101 radio station and expert on haiku poetry hosting a haiku workshop and performing a special haiku/koto jam session with the Columbus Koto Ensemble, and Yasuko Jameson/Dragon Ikka will be hosting a Japanese calligraphy workshop you won't want to miss! Also joining us is the Columbus Bonsai Society with an information table and lovely bonsai trees to enjoy! Join us for all these events Sunday October 13th, 2024 from 1pm-4pm EST (Doors open at 12:30pm)! Cost is just $10 online or at the door! This event is family friendly, kids under 18 are FREE with a paid adult.

JASCO’s Summer Japan Fest 2024
Come to Dublin, OH’s Riverside Crossing Park on August 17th, 2024 from 4pm-8pm for JASCO’s annual Summer Japan Fest with lots of great vendors, food, workshops, music performances and more! We will play from 5:40-6:15pm this year!

Come to Franklin Park Conservatory on Saturday April 7th for JASCO’s Spring Festival in partnership with Franklin Park Conservatory’s Community Day from 10am-3pm! We will give the opening music performance from 11-11:30am.

National League of PEN Women Presentation
